Native Pet sells premium dog supplements: probiotics, bone broth, joint support. Every product is made in house, and the brand is as serious about the environment and pet owners as it is about the dogs.
Their social content was the problem. Everything looked like a product ad: polished shots of supplement jars on marble countertops. People scroll past ads. They stop for stories.
The YouTube channel wasn't dead, it was being used as a product page. Between January and early March 2026 it pulled 1.4 million views and 463 new subscribers, almost all of it off paid, product-centric content.
They wanted organic, creator-led videos across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Their in-house team was focused on product development and DTC ops. Nobody had time to produce 10+ videos a week.
They also wanted a second creator, ideally a vet or vet tech, for credibility. Finding that person and managing the whole pipeline was more than they could handle internally.
We built a full brand-studio production around the channel: creators shipping 20 to 40 original videos a month, backed by a dedicated team of editors, a manager, and in-house strategy.
We put Romark on camera with his dog MJ. No scripts about product features, just Romark being a dog owner, with Native Pet products showing up naturally.
The strategic bet was on rewatchability. We started hiding visual easter eggs in the background of videos, subtle stuff that makes people rewatch to catch what they missed. It crushed retention metrics.
Every video went through creator review, editor corrections and a final quality check before it went anywhere.
That volume also feeds a paid pipeline: the strongest organic pieces get re-cut with product messaging and run as ads.
Month one was a course correction: Romark's first batch was shot in an ad-style format. Too polished, too “brand.” We pulled it back to authentic and the quality improved overnight.
The hard part was casting. Finding creators who could carry a channel alongside a dog took longer than we wanted, and it was the one thing that slowed us down.
By month two, retention on YouTube Shorts was running well ahead of platform average. When Native Pet launched Hip & Joint Advance in June, dedicated content was planned a week before launch day.
It landed far faster than we expected, and then it kept going. The video now sits at over 30 million views.
Nothing fancy. Just a genuine moment between Romark and MJ. No product push. No scripted dialogue. The kind of video that makes you want a dog.
It taught us two things. Dog content is a team sport, because you're directing a human and an animal at the same time. And a viral format can be adapted to almost any channel, as long as it still sounds like the brand.
What our clients have to say
“Best agency. Experts at what they do. Care a lot about content creation and our brand. We appreciate that a ton. This is the best agency I have ever worked with in my 10+ years of marketing.”
